We currently offer classes every Wednesday at 10:00am except holidays. All classes are hosted at our main office, 1621 SE Pardee St, Portland, OR 97202. Please arrive ten minutes early as we do not have available parking in our lot, and street parking in our area can be difficult to find. Check in at the front desk when you arrive.
Please call ahead to check class availability at (503) 232-2488.
New Hire Orientation
It's important that you bring two forms of identification. A valid driver's license, social security card, passport, or birth certificate will do. You must have a working, reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license to work for D&H Flagging.
All flagging positions are considered part-time, on-call. You can be certified and apply for employment all in the same day!
D&H requires you to have the following equipment on every jobsite:
Reflective Stop/Slow Paddle
Reflective Vest (ANSI Class II minimum, Class III is recommended)
Hard Hat (White, Orange, or Yellow ONLY)
Solid toe work boots or hard shoes
Maps, Thomas Guide, or Navigation Tools
We sell D&H-branded hard hats, paddles, and vests in our office. Our team will be more than happy to provide recommendations for finding other equipment for the lowest prices around town.
We also recommend that you carry ear plugs and safety glasses. It's a big plus to have valid CPR and First Aid certifications! Please let us know if you have either certification.
